Frankly speaking, in current circumstances - you can say this two words simultaneously personify each other, "Affordable"+"Good". It is not kind of limited to a particular product, rather among wide range of products, as people get more aware about Technology and totally dissolve it in their daily life. Kinivo BTH240 is an Bluetooth Stereo Headphones that supports hands free calling. It is priced at $25 (1511 INR approx) on Kinivo's official website, while you can buy it from Amazon India for around 2k INR (Note: Price on Amazon may change). This product is affordable and good at some points. So how well this performs in our tests, we'll find out in this post.

Design and Build Quality:
If you glance at the design of this product, is it not at all eye catching and impressive, it's just Average. Every thing is just inspired from Black colour with a silver coloured MultiFunction button which features the Phone icon. The size of this product is really small and thus it can be easily carried around, in fact there's a carry pouch included in the box. The buttons are on the right circular part of headphone and ironically they're frustrating. The whole design is plastic inspired and feels less durable, but you can't complain much due to not so high price. There's Kinivo branding on the left circular ear piece present on a silver coloured surface
Coming to the button layout and placement, the multi function button is in the centre of the circle and there are four buttons- nexy, previous, volume+ or - surrounding it. The multifunction button is basically used for pairing device, pause or play song, answer a call. The buttons are cramped and sometimes, you are not even satisfied whether you really pressed the button. The same is the case with Multi Function Button. You really have to press hard on a button, and sometimes it never really responds to the press. There's a LED indicator also indicating different status of headphone with Blue and red light. Though you may forget the placement of buttons after wearing it for the first time, you'll be familiar with it after more usage.
The headphones can be folded, and easily carried around as they're small in size due to "back of head wearing" form factor.
Functionality:
This product supports wide variety of platforms and can easily pair with devices. You can connect one device at a time and pairing is pretty simple. You have to press and hold the MultiFunction button for around 10 seconds and when red and blue light starts flashing alternatively, you can pair your smartdevice with this device.
MultiFunction button can be used to paus/play the song, accept the call and toggle the device to pairing mode. I never experienced connection drop on Android and iOS. However, it really acted weird when connecting with windows PC, but at last it was successful. When answering a call via MultiFunction button, the response was 3-4 seconds late. Sometimes, this device never really responded to the button press.
Sound Quality and Comfort:
When it comes to headphones, it is the sound quality that actually matters regardless how built quality is. And the sound quality is pretty good. It is better than our normal earphones which we get we get with our smartphones. Excruciating fact is about comfort. This device is not at all comfortable. Your ears tend to pain after hour of wearing and you really need to get this off. The fault is in design, little hard on the ear side and softer on back head side.
The volume level is awesome. In fact you've to turn volume down by about 5 points from highest level, to suit your ear the best. Coming to the sound quality, the details of music played in the background tend to be more dominant with the lyrics, as a result giving you good sound quality. I really appreciate Kinivo for sound quality of this headphones.
Coming to Microphone, it is good, not the best. I called Yash and he confirms that Microphone was good, not the best, but it was for daily calls.
Battery Life:
On the box, Kinivo mentions about 10Hours of battery life, and it is true upto some extend. On heavy usage, the battery completely drained out within 8.5-9 hours . While on normal use ( listening to music just 2 hours a day), battery life was about 2 days. This device charges via Micro USB cable and not AA or any other battery, which is one of the good part of this device
Conclusion:
At last, it is really a good product for the price at which it comes. Though it has uncomfortable, plastic design, it can easily make your day. Specially when you're jogging or running, hands free calling feature tend to dominate the whole experience with awesome sound quality
[zilla_alert style="grey"] Pros: Good Sound Quality, hands free calling, easy to carry, volume level
Cons : Plastic-Uncomfortable design, sometimes buttons don't respond, [/zilla_alert]
