SanDisk Ultra Dual USB Drive : Reivew

Android is amazing.  It has created many different standards of new features at which it operates. "These many standards" allowed manufacturers to produce a accessory which combines some old standards with the new one and ultimately produce a Hybrid Product. SanDisk Ultra Dual USB Drive or Pen Drive is an excellent example. Making use of OTG functionality available in Android Phone ( of course not all), this Dual USB Drive connects to your Android Phone Via Micro USB port, which ultimately removes wires of OTG Cables that were originally used for it.

It's available in three configurations : 16GB, 32GB and 64GB

Starting the review from Build Quality, it's disappointing. The device measures 1.5 inch long and 0.75 inch wide which is easy to carry around either in your pocket or a laptop bag. But considering the build quality you often feel you're going to break it, Yes! It's made out of cheap plastic with two plastic sliders covering the connection part.

Unfortunately the computer connection port as well as Micro USB connection port are USB 2.0, which means you won't be able to take advantage of High Speed USB 3.0 computer ports. It'd have been a lot faster and better if at least the computer connection port was USB 3.0.  The devices can be operated from basically any file manager on Android  like ES File Explorer. The File Transfer speed is like 10-18 MBPS which is not bad, but a USB 3.0 is much faster.

Overall It's a good product for the people looking for more compatibility between the multiple devices. This device is also a good choice for phones with a low storage like Moto G, Moto E which supports USB OTG Functionality. Yes the build quality is bad but how much can you expect from a product that costs 587 INR ($9.43)  for it's entry level version.

Wearables : The Google Way (all new Android Wear)

There is kinda buzz in the tech community that this year 2014 is gonna be the year of "WEARABLES".

We have seen many wearable products being launched uptill now as we move on to the Q2 of 2014 and after all what we seen in the Q1 of 2014 it seems that the Q2 of this year is going to see more innovation and creativity in the field of wearable technology.

The fact that we haven't seen too much innovation uptill now in this field is that "There wasn't available, a dedicated wearable OS ".The OEMs had to fork with the OS available to fit into their tiny wearable displays and which is indeed a hard thing to do.That is why Only high class OEMs could think of Making a Wearable device which could be compatible exclusively with their mobile devices.

Google, the search giant , and the so called Android father, considered this thing seriously and released the all new wearable interface of the World Famous OS android named as "ANDROID WEAR" .Currently there are Two OEMs working with google on this namely LG and MOTOROLA. LG would be releasing a smartwatch named LG G,and Motorola with its beautiful MOTO 360,is ready to take over the smartwatch market.

This UI allows users to use only those features on thier wearable which is need to be accessed.

Design :

The wearable running the all new android Wear will have jst a google Now screen integrated into their smart devices which would allow to have a quick glance to the Weather,Allow hangout messaging on the go, get various informations about sports, calories burnt if you are in a workout ,and would also get informations about the songs you are listening to... automatically!!!!

this is what makes google the best out of rest when it comes to knowing the user and due to the user friendliness of this design which can be accessed via touch or just saying "Ok Google" keyword would allow great flexibility in info management.

For Developers:

Android wear has a developer preview released along with its launch which allows the developers to make and build a better UI ,probably New apps  which would make this thing one of the best for the OEMs of Asia and other regions to get more involved in this wearable community.

The developer preview can be downloaded after signing up at the following link:

http://developer.android.com/wear/preview/start.html?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=get-started-with-the-developer-preview-android-developers

Conclusion:

As Per my thinking i think that the android wear is going to help the OEMs build more elegant minimalistic and cost effective devices with a huge world of apps to explore..

Thanks to all the readers..

Dell Backup Plus USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive : Review

Taking Portable Hard drive in mind , all of us have their different opinions regarding the subject . Some may use it for Backup thing , while some may use it for carrying their IMPORTANT data around , some may use it as extension to the limited storage available in the PCs and laptops . Also this Hard drive's are valuable and are available at an affordable price at online stores regardless their MRPs being printed high ..

This Hard Drive from Dell though named BackPlus , can be used for multipurpose , and is priced aggressively at 8000 INR (78 Pounds), but i got one from FLIPKART   at an affordable price of 4310 INR(42 POUNDS) , about 50% discount , which is a good deal .
