Google launches Google Now launcher that was previously reserved for Nexus 5

While the Nexus 5 came out in November or December last year , Google announced an unconvincing statement for the users who were happy and in good for having a Nexus device and getting the luxury of latest Android Updates that " Launcher on Nexus 5 is device specific only" . So all the Nexus devices ( that were chosen to get KitKat updates ) got Android 4.4 , but with launcher that moreover was same as ealrier versions of Android ( from 4.1 to 4.3 ) .. They were out of luxury for getting transparent Nav buttons , OK Google Keyword  and the whole new fresh and cleaner design of the Nexus 5 launcher ....

Now lnch copy

And now finally Google Now Launcher is available for Nexus 4 , 7 , 10 and all third party Google Play Editions offering .. Users can now access Google Now by swiping from the home screen and also say " OK Google" keyword for launching Google Voice search .. Overall it's a Good  response from Google simply to make the statement right to customer  " We care about you" .. It would be good to expand it's compatibility to non Nexus and Play editions devices too :p ..

  1. Great article Devanshu. This is great news for users of other Nexus users, although it really shouldn't have taken this long. It is a prime example of Android fragmentation.

  2. Yeah ! That's why Apple can be considered one step + than Google
