Pocket Tripod Quick Review

Not Only me , but everyone agrees that iDevices , specially iPhones have wide variety and choices and types of accessories in the world rather than Android devices with a limited choice of accessories . Design and Build Quality :

 

The pocket Tripod , more or less looks like a credit card or ATM Card that's little bit thicker , and made out of high quality ( not so high like Polycarbonate plastic :p )  .. The size of it is little bit more than Credit Card , but still is so portable that it fits in your pocket or Wallet easily  , but there are couple of measures you have to take so that you never break it's centre hinge ..

The entire folding philosophy is based on the above said centre hinge , and if you break , the tripod becomes useless .. Having said that , you'll never feel like you're going to that during folding , all the foldings feel much more smoother , and what we call hand appealing . Geometrical inc has done a good job making this .. The quality of plastic , is a soft touch material , with a little bit roughness of the so that holdings of the phone take place without failure and Tripod remains attached to the surface , whenever placed on  ...

Foldings and Positions and Usability :

 

Since I am a Android user, my phone ( Galaxy Grand ) did work on the Tripod , but all I've to do is remove back cover  ( lol ) .. But as iPhones have a continuous shape and slightly cut slope like edges  and all over shape like Glass Slab with rounded edges , it works perfect .. I tested it with my friend's iPhone  and it worked perfectly  . When This tripod is folded in landscape format for phone , it looks like a F1 racing car without tyres ..



 

There's landscape  mode too . You can separate the two parts from centre hinge and fold the two two part on edges to make a perfect landscape mode and then place your iPhone horizontally . The part where you place , has two semicircular rings , with which you can rotate  your phone so that it fits perfectly to your desired angle  .. It has four sweeps of 90 degree angle ( total 360 degree) with which it can hold iPhone perfectly at any angle .


 

It is useful when you wanna Skype somebody , or take a selfie with perfection , or you wan't to record something hands free sitting leisurely ..

 

Overall Round-up :

So , at last I can say Pocket Tripod worth $26.95  . It was many usage and is ultra portable . But you have to take certain measures  , so that centre hinge remains alive in the world .. It would be good if centre hinge would be more tougher , but overall its a worth buy .



 

Fit Card :



 

GEOMETRICAL INC is currently working on the adapter , so that you can use your iPhone with Cases / Bumpers . It has 10 cut outs each of 0.5 mm wider  , so that you can judge which adapters  works better with your case/Bumper .. Currently adapters aren't available .

Pros : Portability , easy folds , rotating rings 

Cons : Centre hinge could be more tougher , design should be little bit tougher
